Assisted suicide: ‘Nothing has really changed for me’ Debbie Purdy, 45, has multiple sclerosis and believes that her condition may deteriorate to the extent that she would prefer to take her own life. In October, she was defeated in her high court legal action when she requested guidelines from the Director of Public Prosecutions on when assisted suicide cases would be prosecuted. Her appeal will be heard on February 2.
